State law mandates that local agency officials complete two hours of ethics training within their first year of service. After that, every official must complete at least two hours of training every two years, covering general ethics principles and laws relevant to their public duties. This training fulfills these requirements by addressing a range of ethics topics, including a review of the Ralph M. Brown Act.
