This session will break down the pension (GASB 68) and OPEB (GASB 75) rules in simple, easy-to-understand terms. Items that will be discussed are:

• the differences between these two GASBs and how they impact your district's assets and liabilities 
• leases (GASB 87) and IT subscriptions (GASB 96), explaining when they apply and how they affect your district’s financial statements
• upcoming GASB 101, which pertains to compensated absences, and how to determine if it applies to your district (spoiler: it probably does!).
